Currently, our technical team is engaged in the drilling, construction, and installation of one of the water supplies for the rural solar-powered piped water system in Northern Uganda. We are pleased to report that we have achieved an estimated yield of up to 4,300 liters per hour.
This volume of water is sufficient to meet the current demand in Bwobo Village. We express our sincere appreciation for your unwavering support, partnership, and encouragement, which have been pivotal in the development of our water systems.
We thank you for your contribution to our vision of providing safe water to rural communities.
The Geophysics Boot Camp shall provide young professionals and rural water supply practitioners with practical “hands-on” experience in carrying out different aspects of geophysical activities within an active groundwater exploration. Here it is possible to practice the use of different geophysical techniques, including reflection and refraction seismic. Boot Camps are generally 5 days long and are a great opportunity for intensive training at active sites where participants can gain valuable experience in operational contexts and develop team coordination skills. The theme for this year’s boot camp is “Empowering both drilling technicians and surveyors to speak the same language for a successful water well drilling project.”
Water Access Consulting partnered with Water4 in 2022 and introduced a pump sustainability mechanism that rehabilitated and upgraded 35 damaged water points that were donated during the insurgency period in Kitgum District. This allowed for continued water flow through postpaid service fees. Our primary focus is to empower schools, health centers, and homes with tailored financial solutions such as WASH financing.
Water Access Consulting is also collaborating with various sector leaders in Uganda, including local and national government, investors, and financial actors in the water industry to eliminate obstacles and create a conducive environment for appropriate water ventures.
By 2030 the Ugandan government aims to provide safe water and improved sanitation for everyone, and Water Access Consulting is committed to supporting this objective and has already attained a significant outcome that includes; 82 households supplied with safe water, 11 health centers, and over 1,320 children who lives changed through the provision of safe water in eight schools alone.
Water Access Consulting is implementing WASH in Schools programs following the approach described in the WASH in Schools toolkit developed by CAWST
